Specimen Requirements

Draw blood in a plain, red-top tube or serum gel tube. Spin down and send 0.5 mL (minimum volume: 0.3 mL) of serum refrigerated.

Reference Values

90-200 mg/dL

Note: If clinically indicated, patients with <125 mg/dL should be phenotyped to confirm homozygous and heterozygous deficiencies.
