Specimen Requirements
Draw blood in a red-top (no additive) tube(s) 1 hour prior to next dose. Allow the blood to clot completely before centrifugation. Spin down and alliquot serum to a plastic tube. Label specimen with patient’s name (first and last), date of birth, date and time of draw and the phlebotomist’s initials.
Specimen stability: Separated samples are stable for 24 hours at room temperature
