Specimen Requirements

Draw blood in a green-top (heparin) tube(s). Immediately place on wet ice, and send 2.5 mL of heparinized whole blood.

Note:  Label specimen with patient’s name (first and last), date of birth, date and time of draw, and phlebotomist’s initials.
