Specimens from patients who have received glucarpidase (carboxpeptidase G2) as a high dose methotrexate rescue therapy should not be tested using this assay.

Specimen required:  Serum or Plasma

Minimum volume:  2 mL

Specimen stability:  7 days at 2-8°C

Reference Values

Normal level:  >10.0 µmol/L 24 hours after dose

Elimination:  >1.0 µmol/L 48 hours after dose

                     <0.2 µmol/L 72 hours after dose
