New Rhematoid Arthritis Panel: CRP, Anti CCP antibodies, Rheumatoid factor and ESR

Serum

Draw blood in a serum gel tube(s). (Hemolyzed or lipemic specimen is not acceptable.) Spin down and send 2 mL of serum refrigerated.

A lavender (EDTA) tube is also required for the ESR

1. Label specimen with patient’s name (first and last), date of birth, date and time of draw, phlebotomist’s initials, and as serum.

CRP: Adults <1.0 mg/dl

CCPEV: <5.00 U/ml (anti-CCP IgG antibodies not detected)

RA: 0-15 Iu/L

ESR:

Males

0-16 years: 0-10 mm/hour

>16 years: 0-15 mm/hour

Females

0-16 years: 0-10 mm/hour

>16 years: 0-20 mm/hour
