Urine

Collect specimen in a plastic screw top container. Label specimen with the patient's name (first and last), date of birth, date and time of collection and the collector's initials.

Send 20 mL of random urine in a plastic screw top container.

Send 50 mL of urine if confirmation testing is requested or suspected.

Send specimen refrigerated

Specimen Stability: 

7 days at 2-8°C 

6 months at -20°C

Minimum volume:

2 mL
