Specimen Requirements

1 mL from a random urine collection in a plastic urine container. (Grossly bloody specimen is not acceptable.)

Note:  1. Large amounts of blood or protein (>2,000 mg/dL) may cause false-positive results.

2. Label specimen with patient’s name (first and last), date of birth, date and time of collection, and collector’s initials.
